Laboratory Testing Equipment Manufacturer Thane

Overview

Notch Cutter

Finetech Engineering is headquartered in Thane, and our factory at Wagle Estate is the single source for every instrument we make — there is no intermediate trader between the workshop and your lab. As a laboratory testing equipment manufacturer Thane labs already deal with directly, a local Thane lab can see the machine being built, ask for a modification, and get it installed within the same week, all without leaving the city. That local presence also makes Finetech the lab equipment manufacturer Thane Maharashtra buyers search for when they want factory-direct pricing without an outstation freight bill.

Most labs in Thane’s rubber, plastics, pharma and chemical units run on a core set of instruments. A universal testing machine (UTM) measures tensile strength, elongation and flexural properties by pulling or bending a specimen to failure. A Shore hardness tester checks indentation hardness, a notch cutter prepares precise notched specimens for Izod and Charpy impact testing, and a compression set apparatus measures how well a rubber sample recovers its shape after sustained compression. As the UTM machine Thane labs ask for most, we build it in-house alongside the Shore D hardness tester Thane rubber and plastics units rely on and the compression set apparatus most QC teams already use. We are also the notch cutter manufacturer Thane plastics processors call first for precise Izod and Charpy specimen preparation.

Because Wagle Estate sits at the centre of Thane’s industrial belt, our engineers reach client sites across the city — Wagle Estate itself, Kalwa, Mumbra, the TTC and Thane-Belapur industrial corridor — faster than any supplier based outside Maharashtra. It is why teams searching for lab testing equipment Wagle Estate MIDC Thane facilities need most often land on Finetech first — we are the Wagle Estate lab testing equipment manufacturer already inside the industrial belt we serve.

Why Choose Finetech for Lab Testing Equipment in Thane

Manufacturer, not a trader — and based right here. Every instrument is designed, built and calibrated in our Wagle Estate workshop. A Thane lab can visit the factory, discuss customisation in person, and have equipment installed the same week.

Fastest service response in Maharashtra. Because we are based in Thane, installation, calibration, breakdown support and spares delivery happen faster here than anywhere else we serve.

Built to specific standards. Our equipment is engineered to named methods — ASTM D412, ASTM D2240, ASTM D395, ASTM D256, ISO 815, IS 3400 — with the relevant IS/BIS methods supported, so your lab stays audit-ready.

Certified and traceable. ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing, CE marked, GeM registered for government and institutional buyers, and NABL-traceable calibration.

Installation, calibration and AMC. On-site commissioning, operator training, periodic calibration and annual maintenance contracts, all delivered from our home base in Thane.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Our factory is located at C-1 New Kalwa Industrial Premises, Wagle Estate, Thane (W) 400604. Every instrument we sell is designed, built and calibrated at this facility — we are not a trader reselling equipment made elsewhere.

A universal testing machine (UTM) applies a controlled tensile (pulling) or compressive (pushing) force to a specimen and measures how it deforms and fails. It is used to determine tensile strength, elongation, flexural strength and compressive strength of rubber, plastics, metals and finished components — the most widely used instrument in a materials QC lab.

The Shore D durometer is pressed against a flat specimen surface with a specified spring force, and a sharp indenter penetrates the material. The depth of penetration is read on a 0–100 scale within a few seconds of contact, per ASTM D2240. Shore D is used for hard rubber and rigid plastics; multiple readings at different points on the specimen are typically averaged for an accurate result.

Both are described in ASTM D395 for measuring how well rubber recovers after sustained compression. Method A compresses the specimen to a fixed, constant deflection (a fixed percentage of its original thickness) and is the more common method for routine QC because it is simple to set up. Method B applies a constant force rather than a fixed deflection, and is used where the governing specification calls for force-controlled compression. Most Thane rubber labs default to Method A unless their customer specification requires Method B.

Yes. Being based in Thane, we offer the fastest on-site installation, operator training, NABL-traceable calibration and annual maintenance contract response of anywhere we serve. As the NABL calibration testing equipment Thane labs turn to for audit-ready traceability, every calibration certificate we issue is fully NABL-traceable.

Yes. Thane-based customers are welcome to visit our Wagle Estate facility to see equipment being built, discuss customisation requirements, and inspect a machine before dispatch.

Our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified and our equipment is CE marked. Calibration we provide is NABL-traceable, and we are GeM registered for government and institutional procurement.
