Plastic products either bend or break when a certain amount of impact is exerted on them

Finetech Izod Impact Testers are designed to measure the impact energy required to break

notched specimens (thicker plastics) of definite shape and size, when placed at the

maximum velocity point of a swinging weighted pendulum. The rise angle of the pendulum

can be read over a scale or displayed automatically on a digital indicator. (Both models are

available).

The impact energy is directly read, as the angle of rise is calibrated in Joules.

The pendulum weight can be varied as per the strength of the specimen.
